Nordic Yarn is a modern luxury yarn house.

We make a small number of exceptional yarns that are spun in Italy from responsibly sourced fibers by textile artisans with multiple generations in the craft. We are for knitters who believe that materials should be worthy of the time it takes to work with it.

Our signature is eco cashmere: a blend of virgin Mongolian cashmere and recycled cashmere fiber, developed with a heritage Italian mill in Prato, Tuscany. It uses a fraction of the water, energy, and chemicals of conventional cashmere production. It is exceptionally soft. And it is made for pieces that endure.

We are based in New Hampshire. Our yarn is made in Italy. Our patterns are designed in collaboration with independent designers. Our focus is on materials, heritage craft, and a finished garment worth wearing. We’re building a brand that respects the taste of the modern knitter.
